Oki sorry about being a little off topic - but can someone please tell me what the heck the "red engine gored engine....... go" means please?

Ive never understand what that phrase means.

To OP
Keep on reporting them if you feel the need to. Eventually enough flags can be used to temp ban an account but the guy isnt going to get a permenant ban for swearing. unfortunately.

Unfortunatly, i have to agree... if you don't like swearing, turn on your chat filter, but again, this isn't about swearing, this is about somebody purposely offending someone else. If you need a fix though, put them in your ignore list for 2 days, then remove, 9 times out of 10 the won't bother you again.

Oh, and to those of you saying "z0mg all kids are unilliterate little yobs lolol!!1!!1" I'm only 14, and yet i know more than a few 18+ who are less mature, as said by a few guildies...

Send a ticket to support.
Add them to Ignore List.

Anet will look at it, depending on there overall behavior and severity they will take action. You won't now the end result, but if there rude and crude, it will be a matter of time before they get the big boot.

Oh dear, did a few bad people start saying bad words? For God's sake, get over it, after all they're only words and they can't hurt you.

Do you phone up and complain each time you hear a 'swear word' in a film, on a TV program or in a song? No, I'm guessing you don't!

Oh yeah, turn on the chat filter because that's what it's for!

i have one question, WHY IS SWEARING SO BAD TO YOU?

First of all Maturity comes when u STOP crying about people using vulger langauge, Because LITTLE babies cry about that, not people who CLAIM to be mature.

YOU AREN'T MATURE until u learn that swearing is not bad, and anyone who wants to can do it.
MATURITY comes with the ability to NOT CRY about things that bother you LIKE LITTLE KIDS
AM I WRONG??
There is NOTHING wrong with swearing and if u are offended with it then YOU ARE NOT, I REPEAT NNNOOOOOTTTT MATURE

Besides, the OP is complaining about ABUSE, not profanity. It doesn't require profanity to be abusive, but it sure does make it clearer that the writer is being so.

GO RED ENGINE Is Guru's profanity filter replacing the words with its own. Instead of **** or [Censored], its GO RED ENGINE.

Which is quite annoying Omega. But I think that's the point.

Anyways, I'm not going to go into my big rant on censorship and how I hate it and want to destroy everything. But rather, if someone is going to be verbally abusive to you. You do what that smart guy in the paper sometime back did. You go to his house and lite it on fire. Or be verbally abusive back. But since that guy was a jerk, he'd probably report you.

Funniest. Post. Ever. Some one childish and immature preaching about what true maturity is.

People that use vulgarity or excessive swearing should be shot.

There is absolutely no reason to ever swear.

While I don't think insulting people is okay to do using curses or not, if you're offended by the language I strongly suggest you use your chat filter.

That's what it's there for.

so some guy was being a tard to you. toughen yr skin a bit, honestly - turn on yr chat filter and just ignore the person. anet isn't the moral police. i hate seeing people cry to anet over every little bad thing people say to them. the support team has much more pressing matters to deal with than "Xx Stupid Person Xx called me a poo head and i'm mortally wounded by this unfounded accusation!".

Why exactly should they be shot? Better yet, what even makes saying sh*t worse than saying crap or poop? What makes saying asshole worse than saying butthole? What makes it vulgar? Neither of the words actually hurt people, and they are both referring to the same thing. Being allowed to say poop but not sh*t is about the same as being allowed to say "too much" but not "excessive". So I take offense to your use of the word "excessive" and I deem that you need to be shot.
